In addition to female entrepreneurs, the show also features female leaders in the City within the Banking, IT, Legal and Insurance sectors. The aim is to create an audio library showcasing female leaders who have achieved career success, to inspire younger women who want to pursue a career within any of these sectors.
My story
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a radio presenter, but I never had the confidence to pursue it, and think prior to when I got the gig, would been happy to go through life without fulfilling this dream. But through a chain of events which was written about in the Sunday Telegraph Stella magazine in July 2012, Viv’s Telegraph article, you will see that anything and everything is possible. If I in my 40s can realise my almost-30-year dream, then it’s never too late and nothing is impossible. Napoleon Hill says ” Don’t wait. The time will never be just right”.
My style
So far, all my guests have enjoyed the experience of being on Dream Corner; mostly because I don’t interview them, but have conversations with them. One of the best compliments I have received thus far was when someone said “it was almost as though I was dropping in on your conversation”. Here is a short clip of a few shows from 2011.
Dream Corner currently airs on ZoneOneRadio, the Mayor of London-funded station for Central London; and Channel Radio based within the Kent region. Shows are aired on Wednesday mornings and afternoons respectively.
